Redefining personal listening The MIDAS DP48 is a dual, 48-channel personal mixer that allows two artists to fully monitor rehearsals and performances, record and play back. With a simple, intuitive interface and the ability to connect to any device with an AES50 port, the DP48 is a complete personal monitoring system for use on stage and in the studio. Your mix the way you want The DP48 gives performers complete control with 12 stereo groups to quickly create the right mixes. All 48 DP48 channels can be mixed into these 12 groups. As a result, it meets all the requirements for good listening. For example, vocalists can fix their vocals in group 1, and drums, bass and guitar in groups 2, 3 and 4 respectively, drummers who need more control can fix kick, snare and hi-hat separately in groups 1 and 4. up to 3, and the overhead is moved left and right up to group 4. Two Stereo Mixes The Dual Mix function allows two artists to connect to one DP48 to create two independent stereo monitors. There are three separate, independent settings for outputs A and B: output volume level, selected group volume level, "My Group" volume level to which you can assign selected groups. Both stereo sets can have independent EQ, effects and limiter settings. Full control and much more Each DP48 group has its own 3-band EQ, compressor and reverb set with one knob. Simply press the button and set the desired value using the SELECT/EDIT knob. The equalizer allows you to adjust the low, mid and high bands separately for each band. Similarly, compressor settings are applied to each group separately, as in Mix A and B. Studio-quality reverb can be added to a selected group or to the entire mix to add space, regardless of console effects settings. The Pan button allows you to pan each band. SD Card Registration and Presets The DP48 has an SD card slot for recording rehearsals or performances. Recordings can be played back using Mix A or Mix B. The recording option has a mix-minus function, subtracting the signals in "My Group" to use the recording as a backing track for training. You can also save presets with a full set of mixing settings to an SD card and load them from it when using another DP48 mixer.Integrated Ambient Microphone A performer using in-ear headphones can sometimes feel isolated during a performance. That's why the DP48 has a built-in stereo ambient microphone, which allows you to hear more sounds from the surrounding space or audience. It will also make it easier for artists to communicate.Full integrationEach DP48 mixer can be powered remotely via AES50 when connected to a Midas HUB4 equipped with PoE. Any console and stage box with an AES50 port and 44.1/48kHz sampling rate is compatible with DP48 mixers. The AES50 return channels allow you to send mixes back to a console or hub for sending to IEM transmitters. Even input channel descriptions and colors can be sent to the DP48 using AES50. When the DP48 personal mixer is connected to the Midas hub, it can be set up and controlled remotely from the console. Updating the Midas M32 firmware to version 4.0 will allow full configuration of personal mixers (channel assignment to groups, group names) directly from the console interface. The DP48 is the first solution to group channels on the console, where signal routing is also included. Remote Control In addition to remote configuration from a compatible monitor console or FOH, each DP48 mixer can also fully control one or more other DP48 mixers on stage for parallel changes.
