Beurer BM96 Cardio BT blood pressure monitor

The Beurer BM96 Cardio is a 2in1 device that measures upper and lower blood pressure and heart rate from the upper arm and also records the electrocardiogram, or ECG. The large cuff (22–42 cm) fits even a thicker arm. The device is easy to use with four touch buttons. You get the measurement results quickly and they are displayed on a clear and large screen. For health monitoring, the device has 60 memory slots for two people.

The device has advanced arrhythmia detection that detects atrial fibrillation to prevent stroke. The patented resting state indicator tells you whether you have rested enough before the measurement to get the most reliable measurement results. The risk indicator on the device's screen and the accompanying table provide additional information about the measurement results. The device is Bluetooth compatible*, so you can wirelessly transfer the measurement results directly to your mobile device. The measurement results can be read from the device itself, from the Beurer Health Manager Pro application on your mobile device or via a computer web browser.

For longer-term follow-up, you can also easily transfer the measurement results of the blood pressure monitor to the Beurer Health Manager Pro application*. You can download the application for free and you will get a lot of useful additional information based on your measurement results. With the mobile application, you can see your data and monitor the progress of your body's health anywhere and anytime. With the application, you can also easily display the history of your measurement results, e.g. at a doctor's office. In the 22 language options of the easy-to-use Beurer Health Manager Pro application, Finnish can also be selected.

It is good for every adult to know their own blood pressure level. High blood pressure usually does not cause symptoms. You can only find out your blood pressure by measuring it. Measuring blood pressure with a blood pressure monitor is easy and effortless, even at home. Blood pressure is usually higher in the office than at home. When home measurements are done correctly, their results tell your blood pressure level more reliably than office measurements. Home measurement is most recommended to be done with an upper arm gauge.

It is very common for blood pressure to increase with age. One in two Finns has elevated blood pressure, while only one in five has ideal blood pressure. Even though high blood pressure without symptoms seems harmless, it's not worth just keeping an eye on it. When blood pressure is taken care of in time, the serious harm caused by it can be effectively prevented.

Before the blood pressure measurement, heavy physical exertion, smoking and alcohol, coffee, tea, cola and energy drinks are avoided for half an hour. The measurement environment should be noiseless, unhurried and warm. Blood pressure can be measured from either upper arm. It is usually easier to measure a right-handed person from the left upper arm and a left-handed person from the right.

When starting blood pressure monitoring, it is good to check that there is no significant (more than 10 mmHg) pressure difference between the hands. If the difference is significant, the hand with the higher pressure is measured.

The warranty period for the Beurer BM96 sphygmomanometer is five years.
