Why measure both light and color temperature? Because it’s a more accurate measurement than measuring light alone. The color temperature of light affects white balance, so not adjusting it from the start can lead to unexpected and unwanted color results after shooting, which can lead to time-consuming editing later. With LightColor Meter, you can make adjustments to the lighting of the scene and camera settings before you shoot, simplifying your workflow and giving you more time to be creative.

BETTER THAN THE METER IN YOUR CAMERA

Why measure manually instead of relying on the meter in your camera? Your camera's meter uses spot metering, which measures the light that is reflected from your subject into the camera. With the LightColor meter, you can measure both the direct light falling on your subject and the scattered light, so your measurements are independent of the degree of reflection from the subject. This is especially useful when photographing high-contrast subjects. Spot metering in your camera provides an average exposure. In high-contrast photos, such as those with very dark or bright backgrounds, this average exposure can make your subject appear underexposed or overexposed. With the LightColor meter, you get more accurate exposure data, giving you more control over exposure and creativity.
