Nutcase Vio Blanco Gloss Mips Light cycling helmet, 55-59 cm

Nutcase has introduced the innovative VIO helmet to the cycling helmet market. LED lights surround the helmet, and safety is maximized by the MIPS safety system.

The light on the front of the stylish helmet is white (200 lumens), orange (65 lumens) on the sides and red (65 lumens) on the back. The 360-degree rotating lights make the cyclist easy to spot in the dark. They have three operating settings: bright, fast flashing and slowly dimming and brightening. The appropriate setting for the situation is selected from the button on the back of the helmet, and can be changed even while driving. The light ensures that fellow travelers spot the cyclist in good time.

The VIO helmet has a unique patented Exoskeleton shell structure. The very light helmet also has a two-layer Duo Density EPS foam on the inside of the shell. Together, these properties effectively protect the head in the event of an accident. The helmet is the lightest helmet on the market equipped with 360-degree visibility LED lights. The MIPS system between the padding and the shell effectively absorbs shocks coming from the side and from the side. The helmet has CPSC / CE safety certificates.

Using the helmet is easy, because the magnetic Snap & Go Fidlock fastening of the chin strap works with one hand. Comfort is also provided by the adjustable antibacterial cushions and fine adjustment of the size using a roller. Excess vapors are carried away through nine vents.

You don't have to compromise on style either; the clean-lined helmet is at home even in larger metropolises and is available in several different color options. VIO is perfectly suited for commuting cycling and leisure time for teenagers to young and older adults. The stylish removable cap that comes with the helmet creates a sporty grip if desired.

MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) was born from the idea of the Swedish neurosurgeon Hans von Holst. In his work, he saw a lot of brain and neck injuries that had occurred despite the use of a helmet. He got Peter Halldin, a junior research engineer at the Royal Swedish Institute, as his company partner. MIPS AB was founded in 2001, and over the years the company has produced more than 180 patents related to helmet technologies.

MIPS protects the brain especially in lateral, oblique and spiral impacts. If the helmet does not move in a collision with the cyclist's head, the circular movement continues strongly in the brain after the collision. It is the rotational movement that is the cause of many brain injuries, and MIPS reduces it with the moving inner surface of the helmet. Thanks to MIPS, the impact on the brain is up to 50% less than in a helmet without it.

The product comes with an outdated user manual that mentions additional pads. The product comes with only one, high-quality, pre-installed pads on the helmet. Thanks to the better adjustment system than before, there is usually no need for additional cushions, but they can be purchased separately if necessary.
