in 1988 SILCA noticed the growing MTB market in the US and began developing high volume pumps with a low pressure gauge to meet the needs of this completely new category of bikes. Called the Terra, it was the first high-volume, low-pressure specific pump of its kind for larger-volume tires. Now, 34 years later, SILCA is re-introducing the Terra pump with new and exciting technology that allows it to not only be one of the world's most advanced low-pressure pumps, but also to maintain high-pressure pump standards. Using revolutionary new non-linear gauge scale technology, the Terra pump uses custom gauge internals that allow for 0.5 psi accuracy at the low end of the range and 2 psi accuracy at the high end of the range (120 psi). This unique design allows the gauge to achieve a total output of 120 psi. The Terra features SILCA's famous metal construction with a turned ash handle.
