The RØDE SC4 is a high-quality shielded adapter designed to allow microphones with a 3.5mm output to be connected to the TRRS input on smartphones and tablets.
The SC4 is well-suited for connecting RØDE VideoMic to iPhone and recording with RØDE Rec iOS. The gold-plated connectors are color-coded with gray being the TRRS output. While the SC4 is designed to work with Apple iOS devices, it is compatible with most Android devices. Stereo microphones can also be used with the SC4, in which case the signal from both channels is added together.
