Phaetus APUS extruder

The 155g all-metal extruder with Nema 14 stepper motor provides an excellent balance of rigidity and weight. The aluminum frame improves the heat dissipation of the Nema 14 stepper motor.
The APUS extruder has a gear ratio of 6.3/1 and the number of gear teeth is parallel to optimize the gear design. The teeth of the Dual Drive gear system are optimized to perfectly hold all types of plastic and are RNC hardened. This hardening process increases wear resistance and gives the Dual Drive gears a polished surface. The tightly constricted plastic path makes the extruder more responsive, ensuring the most consistent extrusion process possible. Using the handwheel, the user can easily load and unload plastic without relying on Gcode loading and unloading macros.
In the modern era of 3D printing, fast printing is becoming increasingly important. Therefore, the APUS extruder is designed so that the center of mass is as close as possible to the mounting system, even when the hotend is installed. This ensures that the torque acting on the mounting system is low. The extruder is equipped with a three-screw system: two screws to remove the hotend and one screw to release it. Using this option, the user has full access to the plastic path. This system also allows for convenient and quick replacement of the hotend.
